Is FQ backed by a large corporation?

No. Everyone project is sourced for funds from appropriate local, state
and government bodies.

 

Do FQ committee members get paid for the jobs they do?

No. They are volunteers who give freely of their time to support Australian Spec Fic.

 

I'd like to help out with one of the FQ projects. How do I go about it?

Can anyone join FQ?

Anyone willing to support, encourage and promote Australian spec-fic writers is more than welcome to join our team.

Who started FQ?

FQ was founded by members of Vision: an active group of speculative fiction writers that has operated for many years in Brisbane.

 

If I became a member, what's expected of me?

Only what you're willing to give. We meet at 5:30pm on the second-last Monday of every month, so attendance is appreciated, and there's always a project for you to become involved in.

 

What has FQ achieved?

Is FQ only concerned with Queensland?

We primarily encourage the growth of Queensland writers, but we also support the Australian spec-fic writing community in general.
